Is the ongoing pandemic still hampering your business success despite the federal funding you may have received in 2020? If your business is like many others in Yavapai County, 2020 was a very challenging year, and 2021 may prove just as volatile and uncertain.
That’s why the Yavapai College SBDC is launching the Small Business Makeover program. The goal is to provide Yavapai County businesses with resources, coaching, and subject matter expertise to keep small business dreams alive!
Four businesses will be selected for a makeover of a lifetime, anin-depth assistance over a period of several months. 60 businesses will participate in a mini-makeover, a special small business bootcamp in addition to receiving one-on-one confidential coaching from the SBDC team of consultants. In addition, the SBDC will continue to provide one-on-one confidential coaching to help current clients navigate these uncertain times and to assist new business owners with their start-ups.
To qualify for the Small Business Makeover, a business must have been operating for at least three years and not have been working with the SBDC since 2015. The program is free and open to for-profit businesses only. Interested business owners can apply by visiting www.mybusinessmakeover.com/apply. There are four application rounds January through April, with one business owner selected for the in-depth makeover after the end of each application round. The remaining applicants will be interviewed to assess their immediate needs and to get them scheduled for the appropriate Small Business Bootcamp series.
The Yavapai College SBDC is funded through a grant from the Small Business Administration that is matched by Yavapai College. This relationship has been ongoing for more than 35 years, validating the college’s commitment to helping businesses thrive in Yavapai County.
Small businesses are the heartbeat of our community. Yavapai College and the SBDC are dedicated to keeping those small business dreams alive. To learn more about the Small Business Makeover program, visit www.mybusinessmakeover.com.
